“The staff are highly trained, professional and genuinely enjoy what they do.”
“Great place to learn Taekwondo!”
“The instructors are excellent and my daughter has enjoyed her time here!”
We started Vision Martial Arts when our son was 4 years old. He is now 15! My wife and I also started classes shortly after him. Over all this has been a positive and exciting adventure for the entire family. Taekwondo is great physical exercise as well as a great emotional bond. We have attended several tournaments over the years traveling the country, seeing new places and making many new friends from around the world who also enjoy Taekwondo. It has been something that the whole family can relate to and enjoy together. All the instructors at Vision are all professional, courteous and can relate to children as young as 4 to adult students. I highly recommend Vision Martial Arts for the entire family.

I have been a part of Vision family since 2015. For a parents bringing their child, I would say Vision instills confidence, disciple and self-esteem. For the parents themselves, I would say Vision gives you that renew confidence in your abilities, an opportunity to train as a family and a really cool skill set to show off for your kids. I tell adults all the time, if I can do Taekwondo, anyone can.
This program has given me the confidence to try new things, for example I started back running after joining Vision. In addition to Taekwondo, I also run 5K, 10K and half marathons. I have also been able to watch my daughter grow in her training, build her confidence and it has been such a joy now watching her help other students with their training.
Vision Martial Arts taekwondo is a great way to keep the family active. We have been students of Vision for many years now. The Vision instructors have all helped us build confidence in our selves. It has had a positive influence on my son. Taekwondo has helped him to be confident, respectful and to always have a positive attitude. Vision is like an extended family who learns and grows together. We have many friends at Vision and enjoy training with Vision Martial Arts.

“The staff understands children and fun.”
“I would highly reccommend this place.”
“Amazing instructors who care about form, technique, control, and respect!!!”
My son and I drive from Holly Springs to attend Master Kim’s Tae Kwon Do in Cary. Together, we are building a bond while accomplishing something together as a family and as a team. I personally feel in the best shape of my life and thank the Kim family.
I can’t say enough good things about Kim’s Taekwondo. My 9yo started there nearly two years ago and watching her learn and grow has been amazing. Master Kim and Master Preston are awesome, kind and motivating but also firm. There is a true focus on perfection and a deep learning and love of TKD vs. just ‘handing out belts’. I recommend Kim’s to anyone who has a child (or for themselves!) interested in martial arts. Seriously, just the absolute best and family owned and run!!
Kim’s Taekwondo Center is a fantastic family-run studio that is great for all ages and experience levels! Master Kim and Master Preston are extremely encouraging and kind. They’re especially great with children and are also very adept at adjusting to different personalities. My son has been coming here for about a year and I’ve seen him grow so much in confidence, strength, and flexibility. I joined him when classes went online during the pandemic and we’ve had a blast learning and practicing together!

“Good workout, friendly staff!”
“Great place great prices
“The instructors are knowledgeable and the atmosphere is upbeat.”
Master fletched is the best! Highly recommend
Championship Martial Arts in Cary has been amazing for our 7 year old son and our family. He began classes virtually during the start of the pandemic and transitioned to outdoor and then finally indoor with masks. This is the first activity he has done that he cannot wait to attend, practices, and absolutely loves. The staff is amazing and works with us through anything we need. He has become more disciplined and is proud of his achievements as he works towards each belt. The instructors are so kind, patient and awesome. I cannot thank them enough.
For the past 3 1/2 years, we have had the privilege to be part of the CMA family. Watching my teen become a black belt in June is just the start for the acknowledgment she has given herself and the knowledge she has gained in that she is stronger than she believed and tougher than she thought! With the pandemic and their flawless shift to virtual workouts and the cancellation of baseball, my son started taking classes and now continues on excitedly taking on extra classes in specialized weapons.
Words can not adequately express the gratitude our family has to Shihan Jenny Navarro, Sensei Christopher Jordan Greene, Sensei Jessie, and the rest of the amazing instructors my kids have had the privilege to study under.

We visited here for 2 trial lessons for our kids. Only after the fact did they tell us that their membership requires a 12 month commitment. If they had told us that at the front end, we have never walked in the door. But to make it worse, we are doing martial arts because our kids are painfully shy and have difficulty with new situations. So we put a lot of stress on the kids to try this place out, when we would have never tried it out in the first place. Now we will have to stress the kids out at a new place that has some class plans that fit with our family and finances.
I am very uncomfortable with conflict and try to avoid it at all costs. After joining, the studio made a significant change to their class times. The classes became much too late for my son, and I tried hard to arrange his schedule so he could continue, but he was leaving class so upset and exhausted and having to rush through dinner, I realized the new class time would not work for us. I called to pause his Taekwondo classes, and during this call, I learned that I could put his membership on hold but I could not cancel his membership without paying a fee. I was suprised to find out there was a cancellation fee, so I decided to ask what it was, so I would know for future reference. I was shocked to hear that if they “reserved the right to change any and all class times” and if their change made classes impossible for me, I would have to pay 25% of the remainder of the 12 month contract. I’d never been locked into classes for a four-year-old before, so I had believed that the 12 months was the period we were all hoping for, but I could never have imagined that they could make class times impossible for me, and then insist that I continue for 12 months.
Anyway, I was just trying to learn about it, but when I expressed my shock and confusion, the director of the studio began speaking down to me and belittling me. He spoke to me as if I were a confused and absent minded mother who was probably too distracted by the children to understand the terms of the contract. This was so insulting, that I felt like it would be impossible to continue classes with a teacher who had been so disrespectful to me. So I began to ask more about their cancellation policy and express how unfair I thought it was when we wanted to continue classes, but they changed our class time. He hung up on me while I was speaking. After a while he called me back, and did not let me finish what I was saying. He did not listen to me or let me calmly express myself. I had to struggle with him to express my points in short quick statements because he was cutting me off and had already hung up on me once. Suddenly, I was in an argument, when I’d only intended to put my membership on a hold. My son adores Taekwondo and his teachers there.
The director’s treatment of me was cold, rude, disrespectful and even aggressive. Cutting people off the way he did and disregarding what I was saying shows a lack of respect and a lack of self discipline. How can I return to these classes with my son when I’ve been treated this way? How can I expect this man to teach my son respect and self discipline after he has behaved this way?
Now I find myself in an impossible position. He still loves and wants to learn Taekwondo, and I know he would want to return once he was ready for this schedule, but I personally have lost trust in the company and do not want to interact with someone who has treated me this way, and who expects my family to uphold our agreement, while his company can alter the agreement at anytime according to his interpretation of the contract? In the end, the amount of money isn’t enough to waste my time arguing about it, but the spirit of it shows a lack of mutual consideration, which some may not care about, but I think this is crucial to a society and how I like to conduct myself.
I wish Master Chang’s Martial Arts could right these wrongs so that my son could continue to attend these classes, but at this time I cannot imagine how uncomfortable I would be interacting with someone who was so aggressive with me for a mere inquiry.
So, for others to be aware, according to what I was told by the director, you must lock yourself into a 12 month contract, with they can alter at any time, but you may not (technically, that does not sound like it meets the terms of a contract since they are claiming not to be bound, but again, that only matters if you care enough about the principal to contest it in court). The only way out is to pay for 1/4 of your unused months.
Master Chang’s in Cary is a great facility. Small, but mighty 😉 Very high quality instruction, good instructors, and very entertaining for my 6 year old boys. Teaches great values and lessons to them, like focus and general good behavior. I recommend for any child (or adult!).

“We can’t wait for our 2 year old to turn 3 so he can start!”
“They are all really great teachers!” – my 11 daughter said to me.”
Our son started when he was only 3. He is almost 5 now. Since he started, his focus has improved and he cannot wait to go class! The Masters are VERY good with the children and get down on their level to train them. All of the children enjoy their time there and really listen to the Masters. There is a very fair challenge and reward system that the children accept. I highly recommend your child to join! We can’t wait for our 2 year old to turn 3 so he can start!
My 10 and 11 yr old girls attended a summer camp session at US Black Belt Academy in Cary. It was a wonderful experience and one of the better camps in an area that has many great camps. They had field trips almost every day: pool, Museum of Science, Movies, park, and on the last day they had a sushi and pizza party where they made homemade sushi and brought it home (It was fantastic!). The instructors did a great job managing the children to give them all a very positive experience. Each day they got lots of excercise and had a Taekwondo lesson, which they thought was both challenging and fun. “Master Lee and Master Park and Master Eileen explained the moves very well and they showed you multiple times and then they did it with you. They are all really great teachers!” – my 11 daughter said to me. We are definitely considering signing up for their program in the fall and would recommend US Black Belt Academy to anyone considering martial arts for their child.
