“5 Stars, hands down best Location to trust your children with in the area!”
“The most helpful and encouraging owners and staff!”
“The atmosphere is family friendly and great for an entire family to participate.”
I don’t know where to start with our experience with CFMAF! We started attending classes to give this Mama a piece of mind and got so much more than I bargained for in every positive way possible. The atmosphere is positive and motivating from the support staff, to every single instructor, and Master C, himself. I wanted to know my children could defend themselves if ever put in a situation where they needed these skills. What I found were instructors who love what they do. They understand that every child and adult in attendance has a unique way of learning and the instructors make sure no one is left behind. The CFMAF family has given my children confidence, a higher self-esteem and a drive to succeed and excel. I want to thank everyone at CFMAF for the gift you have given my family.
A forever grateful mother!
My entire family (6) has joined for multiple reasons and so far they have worked with us in so many different levels one of our kids is special needs. Our kids enjoy coming to class twice a week and us the parents love learning from the multiple classes they offer. I would highly recommend this to other families and adults who would like to get a good work out and learn a new skill. The entire staff is very knowledgeable and professional and for that we give them 4 stars!
We first tried an anti-abduction class and my girls really liked it, so we joined CFMAF thinking it would be a positive thing we could do together. We’ve learned a TON in just the couple of months we’ve been there. We especially like that you have access to the online videos so you can continue your learning at home. All of the instructors are skilled, great teachers, and patiently answer our million questions. They take the time to help you perfect a skill, with just the right amount of push and encouragement. We have gained self-defense skills and physical training, and highly recommend you train at CFMAF!

“Clean facility and very personable staff.”
“I highly recommend you check this place out.”
“Watching the children grow in discipline through each week is incredible!”
It has helped our 3 year old so much! Our 3 year old has a speech delay and this place has been so helpful and welcoming. Our son is speaking more clearly and leaning self control along with following instructions a lot better and he’s only been doing martial arts here for a little less than a month. I am so thrilled we have found this place!
I couldn’t be more genuine when I say that family martial arts has been a true gem to find! Our family has felt so welcomed here since day one and our kids absolutely love coming to class every week. The passion Mr Brian and Ms Shelly have towards their students success is so undeniably clear. They put so much effort and heart into what they do and it shows on all these kids faces. It has been so amazing to watch the progression in both of our kids confidence, teamwork, focus and discipline.
We are so thankful to have found them!
I enrolled my 8 year old son in October and could not have been happier with the program. My son has so much fun in class and feels so encouraged by Coach Bryan and the rest of the team. It is a very positive environment with lots of positive reinforcement, great skills and techniques for self defense, confidence building, and a good amount of exercise. I was afraid my son would be intimidated because he is very mild mannered, but instead he was encouraged to grow stronger and more confident over time and never made to feel inadequate or under too much pressure. They encourage total growth in skills, ability, confidence, community service, and friendship. I feel so blessed to have found this wonderful place for him to grow at his own pace.
Universal Kempo Karate (Briargate)

“The instructors are phenomenal and the curriculum is unbeatable.”
“Head instructor gave me lip service that he was taking care of it.”
“This is definitely a family friendly atmosphere and we love it.”
Very family friendly! Fun with knowledgeable instructors. I take this with my 14 year old son and we go 3x a week and love it! They are very welcoming and willing to tech everyone at all levels. I recommend this for everyone!
An amazing karate studio!! My daughter has been training there for 11+ years. Owners are fantastic!
My daughter has been going here for some time now. She loves her instructor Brandon, but I’m not sure if I want to keep continuing with Universal Kempo. I will keep my daughter in her classes for a few more weeks and see if there are any improvements. I have a few negative opinions and a few positive.
-Kids do not have to wear masks. Also, instructors and some parents wear their masks under their nose which is absolutely useless.
-Most nights they have the parents work with the students which does not make sense. The whole point of paying for classes is for the instructors to teach the children.
-Most nights the instructor will tell stories. I know this seems nice, but it can take up most of the class and the stories are not even karate related.
-MsJohnson the owner does not seem to interact with the kids. Even though she is on their website as an instructor but does not instruct or interact with anyone.
– Lastly, sometimes the class feels rushed. They will do an activity for about 2 minutes and then carry on with something else.
-The assistants seem great and help alot, they are also very friendly.
-They are drama free, parents and kids are very friendly.
-Brandon (the instructor) is friendly and respectful with the kids and parents.

“This place is awesome!”
“We highly recommend Pikes Peak Karate to anyone.”
“Kids love Pikes Peak Karate.”
Kids love Pikes Peak Karate. Sensei Nathan is great with kids and is okay with being goofy. Teaches discipline and respect as well as other aspects that help children grow, not only in martial arts, but also in everyday life. Made learning fun and entertaining for all.
Pikes peak karate is a fantastic dojo. Our kids aged 3 and 6 both love going to karate. This dojo has a great class for little ones called karate Tots which helped our Kids build confidence and good disciplines like good manners and trying hard at all things including school. Sensei Nathan Morris is a great Sensei and great person who our kids look up to. We highly recommend Pikes Peak Karate to anyone.
We love Pikes Peak Karate! Our whole family, including adults, have been attending for several years, and we love the fun and engaging workouts! The instructors work great with the kids, and they’re also very forgiving to some of us with older body types of problems.

“The USTC Citadel staff have made us feel like family.”
“My daughter and I both train at this location and the instructors are awesome.”
“My son and I have truly enjoyed our experience here.”
I’ve known and once worked personally for the head instructor. A wonderful and incredible leader, compassionate, dedicated, humble and strong. If you have children he is an incredible role model, if you want a good community and workout his team is great!
The USTC Citadel staff have made us feel like family. It was only going to be my daughters signing up just to give them something to do, but I wind up signing myself up as well. It has given us confidence and structure and we look forward to learning more more each time. Options of learning online and at the Dojang (gym) for a flexible schedule are available. Cleanliness and safety are taken into consideration as well. Thank you USTC Citadel!!!
I have almost 25 years Martial Arts experience, trained all over the world and in many styles. The US Taekwondo Center program is the best I have had the pleasure of participating in and I look forward to every class. Respect for your fellow men and women is taught and practiced 100% of the time. Instruction is of the highest caliber, creative and fun for children and adults alike. Definitely a family atmosphere for everyone.
Everything about the curriculum is based on positive reinforcement. The Self Defense instruction is practical and applicable for children as well. What I enjoy most is watching the younger students grow and mature in the way they act towards older and younger students.
