Marsee Combatives is the perfect fit for our family. Our sons are learning real life self defense skills which would actually work against a dangerous aggressor. The techniques they are being taught all build on each and it’s fun to watch their skills becoming muscle memory. I definitely recommend this school for any family (kids or adults) who would like to have fun, learn a skill, and be prepared to protect themselves or defend a loved one.

“Excellent staff and teachers my 15 year old loves this place
“It is great school, the instructors are nice people and the school is well kept.”
“The coolest place to sit and watch children come “ALIVE”.”
We have been attending for over a year now and really love our experience. Very quickly I felt the instructors and owners knew my son’s name which really makes him feel so special. I really feel this is a great environment to learn discipline and eventually form some lasting relationships for my 7 year old.
Reasonably-priced, and worth every penny. This place has been great for our child. Love the flexible schedules. The instructors are experienced, passionate, and kind. The program is very well-organized. The facility is really nice as well. No complaints, 5 stars!
Me and my wife love coming here. All the instructors are very nice and we feel like an extended family here. Great teaching style, very respectful instructors. High recommend if you are looking for new hobbies or thinking to send your kids for taewkondo classes

“I love this place, a real positive environment.”
“The training is practical, down to earth, and a great workout .”
“We do an excellent mix of conditioning, form work, kicks and punch, etc.”
I have been training actively with Sifu Greg in his adult Kung Fu class for about five months now and it has been an absolute treat. Before studying here I studied around 1.5 years of Shuri-Ryu Karate and 6 months of Tae Kwon Do. I really have come to love Kung Fu the most though, especially Sifu Greg’s approach. We do an excellent mix of conditioning, form work, kicks and punch, etc. He takes COVID-19 seriously but once the restrictions fade the classes also include more self-defense and sparring. I also like that there is not a belt system. There is still a sense of improvement and progression but it is much more oriented around YOUR personal development instead of hitting arbitrary benchmarks.
The tuition is very affordable for three classes per week and unlike bigger schools where you often spend most of your time training with assistant instructors, at Z Studios, every class is led by Sifu Greg. Sifu Greg has over 30 years of martial arts experience and it shows.
Come and try out a class and start your Kung Fu journey. I promise you won’t regret it!
Greg and his son are great with the kids! Very happy we started taking our boys (9 and 11) for the martial arts class. It’s a ton of fun for them, but also a very active environment, and each and every kid (class is normally around 12 kids) gets attention and focus!
The Tai Chi program here is really great for anyone who wants to get started in an exercise program without overdoing it. It’s easy on my joints and is a great way to relieve stress while allowing me to get into shape. The instructor is great with his clients, and will adjust movements to suit a person’s skill level and abilities.
Koguryo Martial Arts Academy
My name is Jared Circle and I am the head instructor of Koguryo Martial Arts in Westerville. I hold a 5th Dan in Koguryo Tang Soo Do, a 4th Dan in Hap Ki Do, and a 3rd Dan in Soo Ho Ji Moo Yong Soo Ji Do.
My martial arts career began in college, and I have trained throughout my adult life in various systems, predominantly Korean. I am an active practitioner as well as instructor and enjoy training daily in the development of the systems I teach.
Traditional martial arts and its emphasis on respect and strength of character are central components in its capacity to bring empowerment to the lives of those who pursue it with dedication. My philosophy as a teacher and student is to strive to grow through martial arts as a template for life, and it is my goal to empower those who enter into one of my schools with the ability to be self-actualized individuals capable of overcoming any issue that life presents.

“Nice environment, friendly staff, great energy”
“Great martial arts school with caring confident and knowledgable instructors!”
“The location is convenient and well kept.”
Second time having an issue with Gung. Testing was today and my son got upset over not breaking a board. I went in to calm him down and gung said quote “me calming my son down is making him weak” who says that to a parent? He then precedes to threaten me with kicking my son out of class if I calmed my son down again. My first encounter with him I should of listened to my gut when he yelled at me. This is the nail in the coffin, telling me I make my son weak for calming him down. If I could give him honest feedback about how speaks to others he doesn’t take in into consideration. It’s his way or the highway. He said to me quote ” how would you like it if I came to your job and told you what to do?” My response so what people correct me everyday, it’s called feedback which you Gung are not open to. I will follow up with contacting my credit card company for chargebacks. Do not take your kids here for any reason Gung is the worst thing for these kids. He should take a lesson from Higdon. Gung is by far the worst teacher in Karate.
The instructors of this martial arts school are top notch! I am amazed at their patience and skill in teaching children discipline and respect. They break the moves into easy to understand pieces to make sure that every student understands and can duplicate what is required before moving on. While they are several students in the class, each student gets good personal attention. There has been a huge difference in my son in regards to self control and focus since starting classes here. The location is convenient and well kept. The owner and instructors are friendly and knowledgeable. If you have even considered martial arts for yourself or your children, I highly recommend that you take a look at Koguryo.
We love KMA! Master Circle is an amazing teacher. The kids wish they could go to KMA everyday!
